For POP3 accounts, the Incoming server (POP 3) is port 995, the checkbox for This server requires a secure connection (SSL) is selected, and the Outgoing server (SMTP) is port 465.

Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected.

My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication is checked.

Select More Settings, and then the Outgoing Server tab.

Verify your User Name and Password are correct.

For IMAP accounts, enter for your Incoming mail server, and for Outgoing mail server.

For POP 3 accounts, enter for your Incoming mail server and for Outgoing mail server.

In Internet Email Settings verify you have POP3 or IMAP selected, and your User Name and Password are correct.

Select File, and then Account Settings.

Once you've copied this app password, you can add your Yahoo! email account to Outlook using the steps found in Add an email account to Outlook.Once your Outlook is open, follow these steps. Copy this password (without the spaces) and enter this password when Outlook prompts you for a password. Yahoo will display an app password for you.

Select Outlook Desktop from the drop-down list, and then select Generate. If Two-step verification isn't turned on, you'll need to do that before you continue. Go to the Yahoo website from your browser and select the settings icon in the upper right corner of the screen. Please sign in using your application password.

One way you'll know you need an app password is if you see the following message: 2-factor authentication is set up for your account.
